New design & about tonight

Hey guys!

It's storm in Gothenburg again. I'm so very greatful I have a home, a bed and food these nights. I think of all those people who doesn't have that and feel so sorry for them. I hope organisations like "Röda korset" (swedish organisation) is open a stormy night like this and gives them warmth and food!

Happier topics now! I've got a new header! Aaah, I think it's so nice! My awesome friend Amelie made it (Thank you thank you!). What do you think?

Homemade meringues

Meringues is the perfect candy/cookie/thing to have at home if you'll have guests. It's tasty and SO easy to do. Some say it's difficult to make meringues but I don't think so.

You need:

7 egg whites
2,2 cups sugar

  • Whisk egg whites and sugar in a bowl until the mixture is completely fixed (turn the bowl upside down: the mixture should be stuck in the bottom and not glide down at all). Use two spoons to make little "hills" on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Bake in the oven on (130 degrees celsius) fo 45 minutes.
  • tips: Put some chocolate sauce in the mixture!

This night

My evening has been great! I ate all this yummy food that my mum made (including cake pops!) and then had a lovely workout  (powerwalk and pilates)!

Cake pops

My mum and I made Cake pops two days ago. It's kinda a "fashion-cookie" right now, along with macarones and whoopies. So what is cake pops? It's a ball of crumbled cake and cream cheese that you roll into balls and cover with chocolate. You can say it's a cake-lollipop! :)

You need:

A cake, like a sponge cake

Cream cheese

Chocolate

sprinkles

Mix cake and cream cheese and roll into balls. Cover with chocolate, and push on to a lollipop-stick. Place on a dish in the refrigerator and wait 'til they solidfied. Eat and be happy!

Swedish meatballs

Sorry for not updating at all this last days, I've been away.

Yesterday I did meatballs for lunch. We eat meatballs in two different ways in Sweden. First the classic way with spaghetti and tomato sauce (I always add A LOT of ketchup too haha I'm addicted). We also eat it with boiled potatoes, a brown sauce we call "brunsås" and lingonberry jam. It's a traditional swedish dish and we call it "husmanskost".
There are sooooo many different ways to do meatballs, but this is my way:

700 g minced meat
1 egg
4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
½ onion
Soya
Ketchup
Salt
Pepper
Thyme
Olja to fry in
Parmesan cheese

Result!
