GRANOLA CRUNCH

One of the best things to eat for breakfast is yogurt and granola, at least in my opinion. The granola you buy often taste just like pure sugar. The packages says it contains healthy stuff, but hello, is chocolate or sugarpuffs healthy? No!

It's very very easy to do your own, healthy, granola. Homemade stuff are almost always the healthiest choice, and the tastiest!! So here's my contribution to the granola-society!

You need;

2 cups oatmeal
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp salt
1 cup almonds
½ cup hazelnuts
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
3/4 cup dried fruit (raisins, papaya etc)
½ cup honey
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp cinnamon

Crush/cut the nuts and seeds and mix with oatmeal, vanilla and salt in a bowl. Put the mixture in a baking dish (with sides) with baking paper. Toast for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally so it won't get burned. Melt the butter in a sauce pan.
Put the mixture in the same bowl you used before. Mix with the melted butter, honey, cinnamon and the dried fruits. Make sure you mix it very well so the dry stuff mixes with the wet. Spread it in a baking dish with baking paper and put it in the refrigerator and let it cool for about 3-4 hours.
When it's done, cut the granola with a knife until you get little pieces. Put in a jar and keep it in a dry place!

(Granola is müsli in Swedish..)

My sweet mum made the decorations on the jar!
